  Very bad customer service. Period. Called lowes and asked for the lumber department and my call got transferred 6 times before they hung up on me. So you wait around for 15 minutes on hold all to get cut loose. This happens about every time I call. Save some gray hair and go to menards.

  It's big store, but it's usually easy to find someone to help you. Everyone is knowledgeable and friendly. And if they don't know they will find someone who does. Lowe's is my favorite above Menards and home depot. It's just nicer and the staff are better by far.
